SOURCE: POOL. 4/7/12][SOT/:CAPTAIN TIM RILEY/VIRGINIA BEACH FIRE DEPARTMENT]I just left an operational briefing where currently 50 units have some sort of damage. 63 people have been displaced. We have offered sheltering. The navy is going to have a family briefing at 2:30 and will go over some of the long term housing issues and working with the apartment management staff. Right now i'm happy to report that we have no fatalities. We have everybody accounted for on the apartment manifesto. We have not been able to get to the immediate impact area of the crash site. Navy investigators are on scene. obviously , any chance of survivability would be low. So that's the reason we're not confirming the entire area has been checked.Right we're moving this from the search and rescue phase into the investigation phase. We have an environmental mitigation crew on scene and we have eap en route to do some atmospheric monitoring.
