Angelo: Check this out you know that Lou and Giordana helped me picked this fridge but here’s what they have not seen a long with the rest of this room is the stove that just got delivered. How cool is this thing, talk about atomic retro style. I want to drive this down the highway, I can’t wait for them to check this out.
Okay this is it, this is the moment of truth, do you believe it?
Angelo: Okay so do you have a memory of your old kitchen?
Lou: Oh yeah.
Angelo: 1, 2, 3 open your eyes.
Lou: Are sure this is the place?
Giordana: This is not even our kitchen. No.
I can’t believe it.
Lou: I’m not speechless very often.
Giordana: I can’t, oh my god.
Lou: The tile is just amazing.
Giordana: I’m like I’m not going to cry. I’m not going to cry. Oh my god look at this.
Lou: This is like the greatest thing. This is like the nicest thing that anybody has ever done for us. Truly, this is like thank you so much.
Angelo: You’re so welcome, you’re so welcome.
Giordana: Oh my god I never seen anything like this.
Lou: This is like the best thing.
Giordana: I know it’s so cool. Look at that stove, that is so cool.
Angelo: I love this stove.
Lou: And it works.
Giordana: Oh my god.
Angelo: In total this massive atomic retro makeover cost just over $30,000, we spent 8,400 on the vintage looking appliances that are chalk full of modern conveniences. 3500 went to the custom cabinetry and $5300 was spent to tile the floors and walls with authentic 1950s diner style detail.
What’s the biggest shock to you right now because it seems like you guys are a little shocked?
Lou: Just how open and large it feels now.
Angelo: So does it feel at all like your inspiration Stephanie for the layout kind of change the fruition in the space a little bit.
Lou: Yeah, completely I mean the fact that it just you know an open clean layout like this and you don’t realize how much a room gets blocked off just by even furniture and things like that.
Lou: What catches me is there is just so many little details that you guys put into this.
Angelo: We’ve got to talk about the booth because this was an inspiration from Kat and Jimmy remember?
Giordana: Kat and Jimmy had their booth that looked very cool.
Angelo: I think Kat and Jimmy are going to have to mope but now you have the room to move and when you’re entertaining people can actually walk through the space and now your booth that you started really starts to make sense in this room.
Angelo: Why don’t you guys take a seat, sit back and take a look at the rest of your kitchen and tell me how it feels.
Giordana: I always wanted really cool chairs.
Lou: It’s just so strange to actually be able to look across and see the whole kitchen.
Angelo: Well you know what none of this happens obviously without inspiration.
Lou: Oh no.
Giordana: Richard and Dianne the floor. We would have this incredible floor.
Lou: And the black splash also which is inspirational.
Angelo: We have to thank Gerard and the team because they were able to make this happen.
Lou: Your team is amazing.
Angelo: I am curious to find out what the Rate my Space Community thinks of this kitchen now.
Giordana: Oh please.
Angelo: So let’s take a picture and post it back online and see what happens.
