Syrian rebels in retreat -- but not before capturing Assad's soldiers. Amateur video posted Tuesday purports to show rebels capturing two government soldiers in the Baba Amr district of Homs, Syria's third biggest city. Reuters cannot independently verify the images, and it's unclear what happened to the two soldiers after their capture. But the footage was reportedly shot the same day rebels LOST this district to government forces. The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said pro-government forces recaptured Baba Amr on Tuesday, after more than two weeks of fighting off a surprise push by rebels. Baba Amr was the epicenter of the armed rebellion against Assad two years ago. Tuesday saw more violence in other parts of Syria, too. Video reportedly shot in Hama province appeared to show air strikes by government forces. And in the capitol, Damascus, a car bomb killed three people and wounded dozens more, according to Syria TV. In Idlib Province, activists say residents were trapped under rubble, after fighting there on Monday. The violence in Syria continues as President Bashar al-Assad's diplomatic isolation is deepening. On Tuesday, and to applause from Arab heads of state, opposition leaders took Syria's seat at an Arab League summit for the first time.
