Asher Levine: Hey Cambio Style, my name is Asher Levine. I’m a New York City based fashion designer. I’ve designed for Lady Gaga, Ken -, Dangerous Muse, Ebony bones. You’ve caught me out in a crazy time because right now, we’re preparing for my fashion show but we’re going to give you a sneak peak behind the scenes and what we’re planning for tonight.

The first outfit that I made for Lady Gaga appeared in the July issue of Rolling Stone magazine of 2010 and Nicola Formichetti who handles her wardrobe that he wanted a giant oversized motorcycle jacket. So this is exactly what I gave him. This — it was obviously a leather version. I love it. When you put it on it’s just very, very, very sexy but Lady Gaga is iconic and by helping with her wardrobe, you also help create that iconic image.

I like designing for a performance artist and I — I think it’s also important to design for the modern man and that’s what my collection represents is the future man. So in this collection you could see a lot of influences with tentacles and fins. Joey Fish like silhouettes and when you use that with a human body, it’s fluid and it’s really sexy.

So there’s something called a phylogenetic tree you know it shows like the evolution of a species, the evolution of human, the evolution of anything that’s how I’m categorizing the looks in a phylogenetic tree. Thank goodness for Biology class in high school, right?

When it comes to trends, I hate trends. One of my assistants bought a magazine that showcases all of the men’s shows that have walked the runway and I’m like, this is banned. You’re not allowed to bring this in here because I think the whole creative process should come from within. There shouldn’t be any exterior influences when it comes to designing.

I don’t know how we did it. It’s going to be like sardines in here and more red shirts can go all the way down. I need a table right here. The models are arriving. Makeup artists are arriving. Hairstylist are arriving, I got to get those hand outs out. I feel like we don’t have enough time. There, they’re going to come out. Just switch it upon you.

Robert Gioria: We’re doing the half for the show. It’s kind of like a newborn type of thing not styled too tight. You can use your finger for making it go up. The messier the better.

Asher Levine: Okay Tracy, let’s borrow the lights to give ambiance.
