This review of Archibald's Adventure is brought to you by AppVee.com
Archibald’s Adventures is a platform adventure game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This game is one of the longest and most enjoyable platform adventures to hit your device so far.
In Archibald’s Adventures, you control a skateboarding lad who manages to get himself trapped in a wily doctors mansion. You’ll start off with just your skateboard and eventually work your way up to a pretty cool vehicle and a floating bubble to help you work your way through the game. The puzzles are tough, so get ready to really do some thinking before you dive into the game.
There are 114 levels for you to play through that will really test your skill at platform games. The controls are all handled through an on screen keyboard that works pretty well. You won’t run into many problems after the first 20 or so training levels that really help you get a feel for the game. Sometimes maneuvering the bubble will become difficult as it can really go in any direction, but it’s more something you just learn to deal with than an issue.
This game is a blast. If you’re a fan of platform adventures, download this right away. It’s got a corny story line, cool power ups, plenty of levels, and you may even find yourself wanting to replay certain ones. You can skip forward a little bit after you clear a level, but a majority stay locked until you beat them in order. Archibald’s Adventures is one of the most solid platform games we’ve seen so far for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
