Allen: If your backyard looks like this, there is hope! Just ask my design client Kathy Grays. We started at the front of Kathy’s house, moving hedges and installing a custom designed gate. There is a lot of work left to be done to get it to the final stage. The family can now enjoy some of the early fruits of their labor. Now, let us turn our attention to the back of a house where we have decided that an elaborate water feature is just what this rested wood and landscape needs. The aqua state theme is already under way installing this water feature. Let us slip down the hill and see how things are progressing. Well, hey Greg!
Greg: Hey, Allen!
Allen: How is it going?
Greg: Good.
Allen: Man! You guys are making some hey!
Greg: Moving dirt.
Allen: I am telling you. You know, a lot of people would say, “I got this backyard and it is a steep slope. I do not know what to do with it. I do not want to mow it.” And a water feature like this is a perfect way to bring interest and beauty to the garden.
Greg: Yes, what we tried to do is create a backyard ecosystem so that we will let mother nature do a lot of the maintenance instead of you having to do it.
Allen: So, what do you mean by natural ecosystem is one where you are not having a run around here and dump a lot of chemicals in the water.
Greg: Right.
Allen: Let us check out the final product. This backyard is going through a complete transformation. One of the biggest and most outstanding changes to this backyard is not what you see rather it is something that you can hear. The weather water cascade of the rocks creates a soothing and relaxing sound. This water feature has truly created a backyard oasis for the homeowner to sit back, relax and enjoy.
