Hey rhythm strummers, here’s a really easy way to play this great tune.
Okay, well, here are some chords, and the strum pattern that it works for a bunch of different songs. The strum pattern we’ll see you up here is.
Like that. I'm going to use a D minor chord. When I'm playing that chord I'm not going to strum the two bottom strings because it does not sound very good, so I'm just going to kind of dig into the middle of the sixth strings strum all the way to the first string to get my sound like that. Let’s play that together a bunch of times in a row.
It’s good. Couple more of times.
Well, I'm here, that. Now let’s add another chord which should be an A minor chord. So alternate back and forth between those two chords. Ready?
Now let switch to A minor.
And it sounds depressing, doesn’t it? Sad words. Let’s keep doing it.
Played through the pain.
After this Am chord will be done.
So that’s the strum pattern and some chords that work for a whole lot of different songs. If you’d like to learn more about this song and learn all the other chords you can learn from our lesson on our website. Thanks.
