All About Flu Shots
Dr. Travis Stork: -- swine flue scare. Everyone is asking, should I get a flu shot this September, and if you're at risk, yes. Let’s talk briefly, different flu shot right?
Dr. Drew Ordon: One is influenza and this is a different virus altogether, the swine flue virus.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: And I have my pregnant woman asking about this because all pregnant women should get the flu shot when they're pregnant during the season of the flu.
Dr. Jim Sears: And all kids should get the flu shot.
Dr. Travis Stork: So assuming we have a safe swine flu vaccine this fall. If you want to get vaccinated against the flu, you need to get a swine flu shot and an influenza vaccine shot. They’re two different shots, if you want to be vaccinated, you need both.
