Welcome to Common Man Cocktail, I’m your host Derrick Schommer and today were going to look at the Alien Secretion.
This drink will have something cool, it’s got some pineapple juice, it’s got some Midori that a little different, we don’t use that as much as I would have thought we would. And some Cruzan Coconut Rum we just got this, this week so I would really wanted to give it test drive. I’d tried it straight and lets see, well I tried and drink like this I don’t know I like this, the specific flavoring, this rum flavoring.
It just taste natural and not super sweet but yet sweet and it’s hard to explain. If you could find this it’s going to be usually under $12 so it’s a good deal. That’s the new bottle signed to, so what we’ll do is an ounce of all three of this put it into an iced highball glass which is already starting to melt on me.
It’s a little hot up here and let’s get out of here. So I’ll do this quickly so that I wont loose my ice. So let’s get our ounce of Midori I also wanted to mention since I keep forgetting is we finally have our winner for the frosted cocktail glasses our winner is Josh from New York, we’ve already notified him. Frosted glasses are on the way, the Collins glasses, so this month we’ll be doing our Pom Wonderful contest courtesy of Pom Wonderful they’ll be sending people 16 ounce bottle of Pom Wonderful. And one of this cool Pom Pour, they got floating around here, I’ll go grab it later or you can go back to some of the other episodes to the see the Pom Pour, the bottle pour for you liqueur.
So we’ll get that contest on, let’s get this drink on. Get that in our highball with our slightly melted ice. Camera’s do a killer on this, yeah, I guess the lights don’t, the light are probably the once that actually cause the problem not the camera. The camera doesn’t have any heat radiating off of it.
There you go that’s your Alien Secretion, you can tell immediately that you got some Midori in here. This crazy Midori it always turns things this cool bright neon lime green, it’s like those sticks that you break and then when they start glowing. I can only imagine that if we shut of the light is probably glowing. It’s got the little tiny bit, you don’t really get too much Midori actually, you get a lot more coconut which is to be expected this is the suckers pounds right through everything.
This is so good, it’s so dangerous, it’s got like the flavors of awesome all in one glass. Not it’s when you think it would be sweet since its got pretty much sweetness and it is sweet but it’s not, it’s not candyiesc sweet. It’s a very fruity and tropical, good coconut taste, not getting a lot of, there is no alcohol burn, not getting a lot of alcohol as flavoring. Even the pineapple, does nothing, no one flavor stands out they all blend really well together. It’s a really good recipe and you really want to just double the whatever you make, just double it because it’s going to be a long night. There you go that is what’s left of my Alien Secretion.
Also remember check out our sponsor AwesomeDrinks.com for cool glasses like this.
