Host: We’re in Hanover Massachusetts where Dave Tulio, a sales rep and Dianne a part time scrap book teacher find their household taken over by their kids. And with plenty of space outside, it’s the perfect way to expand.
So, here’s the plan. We want to start with a paver base and a retaining wall for seeding. We hope to add a large cabana for storage, install an outdoor countertop and extend the roof for cover. To help enclose the space, we plant a large teared water feature with boulders and lush plantings then we want to throw an accent light, a fire pit and comfortable furnishings.
The first step is to clear the area. Bring in base material for paving and get started on framing the cabana. Our excavator gets to work. The three foot hole is quickly dug and the liner installed.
Male: At this modular paver, it is going all the way around the pool and that’s our goal for today. Also, center locking block wall is going to keep this down leading to the water feature. The water feature is being excavated because that finally showed up and these guys are hitting it hard with the leadership of Jim, who is a nut job.
Pavers are going to continue around this way leading to the cabana.
Host: Our multiple crews are buying for the same real estate.
Male: This is where the traffic jam starts. We got the pavers coming in underneath, the roof id going on, the bobcats coming around here. These guys are cutting in the corner. This is where everybody needs to just respect each others space and make sure that you don’t get into each others way.
Host: We finished the overhang with a composite trim board made from PVC that acts like wood but doesn’t need to be painted. The same applies to the maintenance free vinyl siding we’re installing all around.
Our project is almost done. Water is flowing in the water feature and the excavator is heading out. It’s time to spread mulch, clean up the area and bring in a portable fire pit and furniture then we go get Dianne.
Dianne: Oh My God. It’s absolutely stunning. I don’t know what to say seriously, it’s amazing
Male: Look at the drops.
Dianne: Look at that and I love the lights. The water feature couldn’t be more perfect if you tried. The waterfall who it cascades down, the lighting, the plants, it’s just so relaxing. The furniture looks beautiful, look at the counter tops, they did such an amazing job.
Look at this. That looks awesome. I can't believe the retaining wall.
Male: Isn’t that cool
Dianne: That is fantastic, it is absolutely perfect.
Male: And those lights.
Dianne: I love the angle. I think this is the best adult get away that I’ve ever seen and I don’t think I’ll ever have to go on vacation again.
