Male: At first this country that goes in mind and sleigh rides totally by accident. But it was fate, it was meant to be.
Narrator: It’s surprising how one chance encounter can change everything and for Paul Henkton and his wife Cindy, that chance encounter let them to the small town of Breckenridge, Colorado and a whole new life.
Female: You know your motel, not strangers or I start talking to the guy next to me and things—no plan intended, snowball from there.
Narrator: The man owned and wanted to sale country boy mind and Breckenridge sleigh rides. The idea of running the sleigh ride company intrigued Paul and Cindy. Both had been working in the corporate world in Denver, yet they wanted something different.
Female: We’ve been coming to Breckenridge for 16 years before we had a lot, we hike and snowshoe. Every Sunday night we drive home to Denver and we were depressed. I said yes, I would love to make a lifestyle change.
Narrator: Four months later, they bought the company. It was a totally new experience.
Male: I don’t know anything about horses. I don’t know anything about gold mining. I don’t know anything about tone trailers but I’m having a ball.
Narrator: And he isn’t the only one.
Male1: I think half the state of Florida has been here on my sleigh rides already. Let’s go for a sleigh ride, huh?
Narrator: Breckenridge sleigh rides offer three different experiences. The first is a 40-minute sleigh ride, served with warm blankets and complementary hot chocolate. A private sleigh is also available for those who want an exclusive ride. This sleigh has been used for proposals and anniversaries and the dinner ride, the most popular sleigh ride ends with an elegant meal and live entertainment in the clubhouse.
Male: They come from all over the world too. We had people from London the other day, from New Zealand and from Spain. I have 9-year-old boy, okay, he is absolutely nuts about his parents owning a gold mine and a sleigh ride company and seven horses and 17 animals and miniature donkeys. This is like a little dream from him.
Male: We’ve never owned horses before so it’s a new adventure.
Narrator: Today, these beautiful horses pull visitors for an unforgettable rocky mountain experience.
Female: The things that makes me the happiest is when people get off and say “Thank you so much that was exactly what I dreamt of all these years.”
Male: That makes me feel good, I’m having fun of my job.
