Guide to Attractions of Spain
Whether it’s in the kitchen or on the field, the Spanish are a fiery bunch of people. Share their passions by indulging by fresh food or getting swept away by the football frenzy. Eating and drinking with the friends and family is an important part to the Spanish culture, whether it’s a home cooked feast or top it as at the bar, the Spanish love to eat together. The best way to get a taste of Spain is to spoil you with Tapas. Tapas involving numerous smoke horses and sharing these with friends and family, passing food around and being able to taste everything Tapas is so good in Spain because of the fresh produce available and merit influences in Spanish cuisine from Roman Morish and Aztec cuisine the Spanish have taken flavor such as Orange, Almond, Chili, Chocolate and Tomato and combine them with their own special way. Spain’s enviable geographic position between the sea and country has meant that fresh fruit are readily available including Seafood Poultry Meats and Fruit and Vegetables.
The Spanish have also learn hot to create the most staple ingredients such as Cured Ham known as Hammon which can be used in Tappas and the variety of other dishes. The wide array of fresh foods and the Spanish diet makes it a particularly healthy cuisine
Man 1 I definitely get a lot more vegetables I lot more fresh fruits I lot more salads I think the climate not today but the climate suddenly encourage to you to eat a lot more a lot more vegetables a lot more salads things like that so yeah I certainly feel a lot better in what I eat for sure.
Another crucial ingredient in a healthy Spanish diet is Olive OIL. Olives are growing throughout Spain which means they produce some of the finest oils in the world
Man 2 Olive Oils benefits comes from its high content of mono saturated fatty acids and increasingly in its extra virgin variety the antioxidants. These are eliminated in other types of oil but I found naturally in olive oil.
The Mediterranean diet is so important in Spain that officials apply to UNESCO to give it cultural icon status
Man 2 I totally support the UNESCO bit to protect and shelter a Mediterranean diet and include it in all the worlds’ cultural heritage list. I think it’s a great initiative and I’d be happy to contribute with anything what’s in my hand for that to go trough. Why, first of all even more important than the UNESCO support is our capacity to keep it and save it.
Aside from food there is nothing the Spanish to love more than cheering from their team in the great game of football. Spain is home to many successful football clubs. According to FIFA Real Madrid is the most successful football team in Europe, although they are criticized for buying their way to the top the Real Madrid line up has included such football legends as David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo.
Barcelona is a close second when it comes to success. If your after or a party atmosphere check out a Seville game although Seville have not had a the most wins they have a habit of drawing the biggest most ruckus crowds. Seville located in south of Spain is known for its Latino party style and when you see Seville’s 55 thousands adoring fans in one stadium you will realize why.
You’ll find Spanish football teams and action up to 4 times a week during the soccer season which runs from late August to until May. If you can’t make to a live match why not squeeze into a bar, maybe after your Tapas and watch with the locals or for even more unique experience check out a local match in which ever city or town your staying. Where ever you go to watch a football match you’ll see the spirited Spanish temperament in action.
