As a self proclaimed dress girl, I’m just learning to embrace the menswear trend. A great tailored pant is a wardrobe staple but I feel to masculine in wide-leg trousers and a classic men’s button-down. Here’s some easy ways to keep the look that give it a feminine twist.
ZARA Black Vest $39
Wear your favorite men’s button-down or tuxedo shirt.
JOSEPH ABBOUND tux shirt at century 21 $88
But instead of classic white try a colored stripe or a brighter solid.
ZARA Button Down $49
Your favorite tailor can quickly and inexpensively fit a men’s button-down shirt to your proportions.
ZARA Black Trouser $89
Keep the slightly masculine coloring cuffs that define it for a nice balance. Ask them to taper down the shoulders and the chest.
Black Ribbon from M&J trimmings $10
Finally, instead of wearing men’s cufflinks with your fitted shirt try fretting a small velvet ribbon through the cufflink holes and tie them into small neat bows.
