Hi this is Annie with More Mobile Internet and I am going to compare the broadband coverage of the three leading carriers; Sprint, Verizon and AT&T. A lot of emphasis has been put on speed test, which will fluctuate during use and although speed is important, let us get down to the real issue, which is where service is available because if you cannot get service, speed is then an issue.
All of the carriers would like us to think that they have the largest fastest network so we are going to take a look at their own coverage maps right on their own sites. The first, let us look at sprint, the orange areas had Sprint Broadband coverage and the dark gray areas has broadband roaming, which means that you would have broadband coverage through another carrier while on the Sprint Network.
And as you can see from the map, Sprint has coverage in a lot of areas. Now let us take a look at Verizon. The blue areas have Verizon Broadband coverage and the yellow is roaming. That is not much yellow; you can see a little yellow in here. As you can see, Verizon also has coverage in many areas.
Finally, let us look at AT&T, the blue areas have broadband coverage and as you can see AT&T has the smallest network by far not even close to the coverage available from Verizon or Sprint. To further illustrate this, let us take a look at Verizon and AT&T together. Now all of the gold areas are Verizon Coverage and the red areas, you see a little bit of red here are AT&T.
And the orange areas are where AT&T and Verizon overlapped. And as you can see from this map, Verizon has much more coverage than AT&T. Now that we have compared coverage maps, what does this mean to you? You want it through the carrier that has service in the area or areas where you are going to need internet access.
So the first thing you want to do is check the coverage for the address where you are going to use the service most often and if you could travel to particular area or areas, you can check that coverage as well. Now both the Sprint and Verizon Coverage Maps are available at moremobileinternet.com or you can call us at (866) 541-0400 for help choosing the carrier with the best coverage for your needs.
