30 Minute Flower Garden

Hi, I’m Patti Moreno, the Garden Girl. Welcome to the 30 minute flower garden.

I’ve been inspiring people to garden for years and now I’ve found a system of gardening that’s taking all the excuses out of gardening and gives you a garden in 30 minutes. Originally, garden socks were used as erosion control but now I’m going to show you how to use them in your own home garden.

I am of course known as a vegetable gardener but I do love planting flowers and I’ve got tons of containers where I’ve got so many different flowers, and I’ve got a perennial garden and I’ve got a cutting garden and today, I am going to have a 30-minute annual flower garden where I’m planting petunias and zinias and all sorts of great stuff that’s very seasonal right now and what am I doing? I’m using my garden socks. Look at how easy that’s been so far. I mean I haven’t broken it a sweat. I also haven’t use one tool and now all of my soil is in place.

So the next thing I have to do is place all of my plant. I’ve got an amazing variety. This is just going to look so beautiful, I really think right in the middle. I’m liking it already. Its going to look awesome and we’re going to going to have our flower garden in not only 30 minutes but way less than 30 minutes.

I’m going to start by planting my first garden sock right here and what’s great is you can pretty much plant the plants wherever you want them to go. Love it. I’m going to cut a big enough slit to fit the plant in there. So all you need, you just need to cut enough so that the plant can fit in there.

Don’t you just love hydrangeas, I love them so much. But what that means is I am going to have to water this sucker a really a lot because it’s a hydrangea. So what do you think a hydrangea means? It means it needs water.

We’re in the home stretch now.

I’ve got a few more plants to plant here in my garden socks and then I’m going to water it thoroughly. You kind to want to water your garden socks just you would any other garden. I like to water once in the morning and once on the evening depending on how much rainfall I’ve gotten in my area.
