2011 Volvo C70 Review
Mike: Hi, I’m Mike Hanley with Cars.com. And we’re here at the Chicago Auto Show and this is the 2011 Volvo C70. It’s a retractable hard top convertible and it gets some significant styling changes for 2011. The big styling changes are upfront on the C70. It gets a new grille, new headlights and new front fenders and the new look is in keeping with what Volvo’s doing on its other models like the XC60 Crossover and S80 large Sedan. And like the SC60, the C70 also gets LED taillights that give the unique appearance.
Volvo says it takes just 30 seconds to transform the C70 from a hard top Coupe to an open top convertible and there’s also been some changes to the interior of the car with new dashboard draining, revised instruments and there are still the focus on safety which is what Volvo’s historically been known for as the C70 comes with inflatable curtain airbags that open from the doors right here.
The C70 still powered by a turbocharged five-cylinder engine that gets good highway fuel economy of 28 miles per gallon. And this model costs a little bit less than it did before. It starts at just under $40,000.00 now and when you combine that with the additional standard features like an automatic transmission and the changes Volvo’s made, you’re getting more for your money with this car.
