2010 Nissan Maxima Car Review
The Maxima was completely redesigned for the 2009 model-year, a Ford or sports car with premium features distinguishing itself from the Altima. For 2010, Maxima adds a few new touches including the fine-tuning of its color palette and available option packages. Maxima is again offered in two models; Maxima 3.5 S and Maxima 3.5 SV,e each equipped with a 290 horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine and XTronic CVT transmission. Living up to its sports Sedan Heritage, the Maxima provides credible performance for a front drive model.
Engineers focused on nearly eliminating torque steer during acceleration and have provided a level of nimbleness that makes the Maxima fun to drive. Available panel shifters and a sport package on the 3.5 SV model with 19-inch performance tires, give the Maxima an athletic edge. With the quickest steering ratio of any Nissan Sedan and a suspension tune to be both stimulating yet relaxing, the Maxima blends it’s sporty and luxury sides quite well. Gas mileage on preferred premium is 19 mpg city and 26 highway. The Maxima S starts at a base price of $31,430.00 while a fully option Maxima SV closes in on $40,000.00.
