We're here at the 2008 LA Auto Show. We're one of the stars of this huge event, the all new Nissan 370Z. Well, we have driven the prototype and we're showing the video on that, and we also have a production car under the test ride now, but I can't reveal the performance figures. But what I can do is show you that this production car brings a lot of the features we predicted into reality.
It's smaller and lighter than the car it replaces, and there is more power under the hood too, thanks to that 3.7 liter V6. It comes with the choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic. The new 370Z is a welcome trend in an industry where next year's model is always longer, wider, lower and heavier than the car it replaces, and perhaps is a sign of the future as more and more auto makers work to bring their cars to meet tough new fuel consumption emissions.
For the driving enthusiasts, smaller, lighter, more nimble 370Z promises to be a lot more fun through the canyon roads.
