2009 Lexus ES 350 Car Review
Sauntering into the 2009 model year with only a new color choice, Matador Red Mica replaces royal ruby metallic. The 209 ES 3521 continues to be the main stream Lexus Sedan choice. The ES is known for its conservative styling and Camry friendly driving style making it a favorite with those seeking entry level luxury in an inconspicuous nature.
If you're in search of a mid-sized sports Sedan and you're set on buying the Lexus, then the GS is for you. if you’d rather a more sedate yet luxurious four-door experience, the ES is the better more affordable choice. The 3.5 liter V6 made it to a six-speed auto, a detune version of the power terrain found in the GS 350, makes 272 horsepower and runs to 60 miles per hour in a fairly quick 6.8 seconds. Remember, unlike the GS, the ES is front-drive and that in combination with a softer MacPherson’s strut four-wheel independent suspension gives the ES 350 an ultra smooth ride, tuned first and foremost for comfort.
Yes, mileage and 91 octane is rated at 19 mpg City, 27 highway. The exterior dimensions of the ES are nearly identical to the Camry from which it's based, though the Lexus has slightly less passenger volume. The interior is beautifully adorned and Lexus level quiet with advanced safety systems and ergonomically smart convenience features.
A series of packages bundle together, the luxury goodies so that the buyer can layer them in. MSRP of the ES 350 is 35,000 145. Leather seats, DVD navigation, Bluetooth, a rear view camera, heated seats, a panoramic sunroof and the Lexus pre-collision system are all extra. Load up to ES 350 and the price can expand to over $40,000.00.
This current fifth generation ES has been with us since 2006 and still offers good value in the entry level luxury segment.
