Katy Perry has been pretty quiet about her split and divorce from Russell Brand, but now it’s obvious she was just waiting for the perfect moment. Score one for Katy!
How better to tell the world how you feel, than do it on a live stage in front of millions of fans waiting with open ears. Katy used her Grammy performance to deliver a diss to soon-to-be-ex-husband Russell Brand.
The song was your typical break-up anthem all about not having one's soul broken by a crummy ex. It’s called "Part of Me," but onstage, she changed the original lyrics to match her current situation with Brand.
One line originally read quote "You can keep the dog from me, I never liked him anyway." For the show, Perry sang "Keep your diamond ring/In fact, you can keep everything...Except for me."
