Dr. Ann Kulze, recommends that children take a basic multivitamin because very few of their diets provide all of the nutrients they need every day.
Are multivitamins needed for children? Dr. Ann Kulze: You know I’m the huge proponent of multivitamins for kids, for the simple reason that children probably have the most nutrient deficient restrictive diets of all segments of our popular. We think exception of the elderly, and one thing that is critically important to think about for kids is there is not just little adults. They don’t just need this 42 or more essential nutrients day in and day out for maintenance repair they are growing and developing. So the consequences of nutrient deficiencies in children are especially risky because again they are growing and developing and they didn’t need to be difficult a simple basic multivitamin. Again, it’s the safety net, it’s a insurance formula because very few kids diet really they provide all the nutritious they need and the perfect amounts each and everyday. There are couples of very radical brands that you can almost anywhere, Flintstones Complete, multi gummies is another excellent brand so again I definitely recommend that a children take a simple basic multivitamin to give with meals and I hope that it gives you some guidance until next time, this is Dr. Ann for ICYou enjoy your health.
