The driver of a Spanish train that derailed last week, killing 79 people, told court officials he had applied the breaks too late to prevent the deadly crash. Spanish daily ABC obtained the leaked video of the Sunday court proceedings and published it online Thursday. Fifty-two-year old Francisco Jose Garzon, who is charged with negligent homicide, said he knew the train was going too fast to take the curve.
