Number 3 - Airlines are now following stronger security checks making it more difficult for drug traffickers to smuggle drugs in and out of a country. Many traffickers have thus come up with incredibly creative means, to the extent of even using submarines. According to a New York Times report, "American authorities have discovered at least three models of a new and sophisticated drug-trafficking submarine capable of traveling completely underwater from South America to the coast of the United States".
Number 2 - Post 9/11, people of the small country of Mali could not have imagined that those terrorist attacks would impact them directly. After Al-Qaeda was uprooted from Afghanistan, it setup bases in other parts of the world including Mali, where it has implemented sharia law in some areas and has even destroyed many of the world’s greatest historical landmarks.
Number 1 - After 9/11, many skyscrapers are following the International Code Council's recommendations on construction which includes more stairs for buildings taller than 42 stories, higher fire resistant walls and wider stairways for firefighters in case of emergency evacuation.
