After a morning of dense fog, haze, and threatening storm clouds, the skies opened up to a few patches of blue at Republic Airport in Farmingdale, L.I. “Time to go flying!”, said Team Oracle chief pilot Sean D. Tucker as he invited me aboard his Extra 300 high performance stunt airplane. Tucker, a world-champion aerobatic pilot who has amassed more than 24,000 flight hours, is one of the featured performers in this weekend’s Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach.
