For many people it can get tedious when you have to hold down a mouse button while you drag things around. Well, it doesn't have to be that way if you turn on ClickLock for your mouse. Click to drag, click again to let go, it's just that easy. Let's find out how.
Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Doctor File Finder and welcome to your Butterscotch.com tutorial on how to turn on ClickLock for your mouse.
So here on Windows we click on the start, settings, go over the control panel. Now the control panels opens, we double click on mouse, hold this down so you can see it better. Now if you look right here, the check box you turn on the ClickLock. What this does is it allows you to drag and drop things without having the hold of the mouse button down. This is particularly good for people who have problem with their wrist from carpal tunnel or something else.
You also have settings where you can adjust how long you need to hold down the mouse before the click is lock. So you can make it a short time or a long time depending on you. So then when you get that, just click apply then click okay. Now when you click on something, you can drag it without having to hold down the mouse button. Now you have to take my word for it that I’m not holding down the mouse button but I’m not and then when you click it again, the mouse button is released.
So it’s a very cool way to be able to drag and drop things without having to hold the mouse button down and that’s all there is to it.
