The bookings editor gets crafty re-creating the runway's hottest looks: how to Make a Chain Paper Necklace.
How to Make a Chain Paper Necklace
Hi, everyone. This is Malina Joseph, fashion designer and you are watching Elle’s DIY.
So today we are going to be taking a trend that kind of reminds you back in your kindergarten arts school days where you would make chain necklaces out of construction paper.
So instead we saw this look on Louis Vuitton’s runway in a bunch of different colors and chains and then even metallics but what we’re going to do today is for right here for just about $15.00 and it will only take that half an hour to make.
And we’re going to use leather ribbon just because of the sheen. You can also use any ribbon that has some sort of weight to it, pair of scissors, ruler, glue gun and we’re going to cut the ribbon four inches. And we have a bunch of them all around the same size and basically what you’re going to do is take a little bit of a ribbon and there we go right ton the edge there, and fasten it into a nice loop.
Then we create a nice long chain, these two chains we put. You know you can do a siphon ribbon, a Grosgrain ribbon, flat it like so and basically what we have here is a nice homemade necklace that brings you back to your elementary school days, and it’s also one of the hottest necklaces seen on the run ways for cloth.
I’m Malina Joseph, thanks for watching and we’ll see you next week.
