Audra Lowe: Did you ever wonder what keeps the dermatologist skin looking so good. Well, to tell us their secret, Rhiannon met one beauty expert who says the answers might surprise you.

Rhiannon Ally: Audra there a lot of people probably assume the answer is surgery, but National Beauty Expert Rebekah George says, “Not so fast.”

Rebekah George: Not true.

Rhiannon Ally: Rebekah, before you tell us the scoop on all these products, tell us a little bit about yourself.

Rebekah George: Oh, well, thank you for having me here.

Rhiannon Ally: Thanks for coming.

Rebekah George: I have been a beauty and fashion editor for nearly a decade and I’ve made the transition to becoming a beauty and fashion expert. Rhiannon Ally: Now, the best thing of all of these products, my favorite thing, is that they’re all from the Drug Store.

Rebekah George: That is true.

Rhiannon Ally: I don’t believe that.

Rebekah George: It’s true! I know all the dermatologists out there and one of the biggest myths is that you have to spend a fortune to get great quality products. The truth is knowing what to look for and these products here really have ingredients that pack a powerful punch. They’re all available at your drug store and that also means they’re not that expensive.

Rhiannon Ally: Yes, cheap. We loved cheap. Okay, the first one is Olay. They have kind of pretty good reputation recently?

Rebekah George: That’s true! There are brand with a lot of science behind them. This is the regenerating lotion. It has a UV protectant in it of a 50 actually, anywhere from that fifteen to a 50. What’s so fantastic about these products and what dermatologists love about these products is it contains peptides. So, peptides plump, peptides P plump. They are going to help get rid of those wrinkles, so forget the Botox, use this daily.

Rhiannon Ally: Okay, next up set up here. This is just a few bucks?

Rebekah George: It is true. It is $10.00. It’s their daily cleansing lotion. Dermatologists loved this because when you’re cleansing your skin, you want to look for something that’s not going to dry out your complexion especially when you’re using a glass of anti-agers. You want to nourish the skin. You don’t want to strip it and this is a great product because it gets rid of the grime but it keeps your natural oils intact.

Rhiannon Ally: So, your skin is going to save the big bottle for ten bucks?

Rebekah George: Okay, you have enough, enough to last you.

Rhiannon Ally: We’ve all seen all those body lotions there are so many out there.

Rebekah George: Yes, I have tested them all. Every little bit of my body has tested a body lotion.

Rhiannon Ally: Okay, so this is your favorite?

Rebekah George: This is my new favorite. It’s from Vaseline. It’s their sheer infusion body lotion. It’s really a breakthrough because it contains Stratys 3, 3 meaning three different moisturizing agents. But you know what’s so great about this? You know when you put on lotion, and it’s really heavy and tacky, and then you can’t bit your tight fan, you can kick your skinny jeans on. This is great because it’s a lightweight formula. So, it sips in the skin quickly but it’s going to give you the same quality, hydration as a big time bomb. So, it’s great.

Rhiannon Ally: How much were this one?

Rebekah George: Eight bucks.

Rhiannon Ally: That’s it, eight bucks.

Rebekah George: Drugstores.

Rhiannon Ally: Now, cover girls have been around for decades.

Rebekah George: Right, but it keeps getting better and better.

Rhiannon Ally: And dermatologists actually used this?

Rebekah George: Dermatologists loved these products. It’s Cover Girl’s simply ageless corrector and concealer and what they love about it is it’s not only cracks and hides flaws but it actually helps to firm skin because it contains Olay regenerist serum in it, the first product. So it has peptides. It’s going to plump those little crinkles.

Rhiannon Ally: Now, so do you need eye cream also with that?

Rebekah George: You know this is really moisturizing so it well hydrate your eyes. It depends on your skin type. If you feel you’re really dry, I would start with an eye cream, and then layer the sun.

Rhiannon Ally: Okay, now the next one, people are probably wondering why do we have a shampoo envisioned up here?

Rebekah George: Right! It’s from Head & Shoulders. It’s their smooth and silky collection shampoo and conditioner. And you know it’s not just for dandruff because when you apply this, it exfoliates the skin on your scalp so it helps your hair grow in nice and softer and fuller. But I love it and dermatologists love it because it also helps treat - I know we hate to talk about bacne. But when you’re sudsing down and it’s washing out of your skin, it’s going to help clean your bacne. So you have a flawless back.
