Thousands lined up along Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. on Monday (May 25) for the 2015 National Memorial Day Parade. The 10th annual event, which pays tribute to U.S. servicemen and women, also marked the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 150th anniversary of the end of the U.S. Civil War. Colonel Ed Shames was among several World War II veterans who served as the Grand Marshals of the parade.
