Chris Duke: I am Chris Duke for Motorz TV. We're here Live at the 2009 SEMA show in Las Vegas. I'm going to show you how to install a BedStep from AMP Research.

Male Speaker: The BedStep from AMP Research is easy to install Flip Down Step for your pickup truck. It gives you easy access to your truck bed, whether tailgate is open or closed. Made in the USA and comes with a three year lifetime warranty.

Chris Duke: For this installation, you're going to need a 3/16 Hex Driver, a 21 mm and a 17 mm socket, a ratchet, a breaker bar and a torque wrench. To assemble the BedStep before installation, you want to take these two 17 mm bolts, put it in this upper arm into the BedStep arm and take these threaded plates and drop them into these three places right here, one, two and three. Attach that to the bottom of this arm and take these Allen head bolts, tighten it down.

Now, we need to remove these two bolts right down here underneath now, they are pretty big and they are on there tight. So grab a 21 mm socket and a breaker bar. Twist these all off, you'll need to put those back on with the BedStep. Now take your BedStep, put it over with the same bolts, and put the nuts back on. Now with your hand tighten these down, take a torque wrench, tighten it down to 80 foot pounds of torque.

If you need to adjust this step side to side, you can loosen up these Allen head bolts here, then move it a little bit, but the way we got it there on there right now, we're good to go. To operate the BedStep, just put your foot up towards this corner, press down, just put it back up, just give it a kick. The BedStep from AMP Research certainly makes it a lot easier to get in and out of the bed of your truck.
