Michael Phelps Makes History With 19 Olympic Medals
Michael Phelps made history after winning both a silver and gold medal in the London Games on Tuesday. Phelps is now the all-time leading medalist at the Olympics with 19, passing former Soviet gymnast Larissa Latynina. The record breaker was a gold in the 800-meter freestyle relay, in which he swam the anchor leg for the United States. Phelps won the silver medal in the men's 200-meter butterfly swimming final. The swimmer now has 15 gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
